Intake Assessment Clinician (PRN)

Intake Assessment Clinician (PRN) Assisting in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information. Providing technical assistance to the discharge planning process under the direction of the Director of A&R. Serving as the first contact with the community, providing resources and support to callers and walk‑ins. Providing general support to the case management program. Documenting and processing inquiry calls according to Intake policies. Assessing and stabilizing patients before discharge or arranging hospital admission. Notifying and assisting the on‑call doctor with patient interviews. Obtaining administrative approval for all admissions. Completing admission paperwork following hospital policy. Maintaining an intake log with all necessary information documented. Making follow‑up calls to patients who fail to show up for appointments. Demonstrating guest relations by example and providing counseling to employees in need of training. Qualifications Master’s Degree (preferred) in a human relations field; licensed to practice in the State of Illinois as a mental health professional. Preferably one or more years’ experience in an intake/assessment setting within a behavioral health, human services department/clinic, or hospital. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience with customer service. A working knowledge of a Mental Status Exam. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field. Compensation This is a PRN role and the expected compensation range is $30.00 per hour. Consideration will be provided for experience and skill level.
