Responsibilities

The job responsibilities of the Tax Director include, but are not limited to:

Accountability

• Retains current business relationships with focus on high customer value
• Oversees workflow, software usage, and tax process
• Owns client tax planning and customer service
• Stays current on tax organization knowledge and skills
• Willing to provide timely feedback to staff and clients

Leadership

• As part of the leadership team, overall focus on firm management, tax department oversight, and future success of the firm
• Creates or co-creates thought leadership content such as articles (industry related), webinars, etc.
• Communicates clear direction internally to staff
• Demonstrates our core values
• Develops network contacts and resources
• Monitors department utilization and profit margins including pricing structure

Management

• Develops staff and coordinates departmental training
• Manages vendor relationships and coordinates outsourcing options
• Conducts annual performance evaluations for staff
• Balances appropriate workload for each staff member, providing opportunities for growth and development while remaining true to our core values

Location

• The Tax Director position is a hybrid position headquartered in Bridgeville, PA

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years leadership experience
• 10 years’ experience in the public accounting industry
• CPA
• Corporate and individual tax services experience

Preferred

• Masters in Tax
