Full Time Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA)Friendship is looking for a Full Time Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to join our Friendship Richfield Health Center team, located in Salem, VA. The Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) is responsible for providing physical therapy treatment under the guidance of a Physical Therapist. Roles & Responsibilities:Implement and execute goal-oriented treatment plans and programs as established by a Physical Therapist in coordination with other departmentsAdhere to departmental, organizational and regulatory agency policies and proceduresOperate departmental and therapeutic equipment proficiently and safelyMeet requirements for appropriate and timely communication with doctors, medical team members, rehab team members, department head, resident families and others as directed by supervising Physical Therapist and as outlined in departmental policies and proceduresMonitor treatment plan progressions to identify any deficiencies and notify Physical Therapist for adjustmentsParticipate in program development, quality assurance and improvement effortsEnsure quality, efficiency, and customer service requirements are met, as outlined in Friendship's policies and proceduresSupervise and collaborate with rehab aides/techs, students and others as assignedIdentify areas of opportunity to improve quality of care for residents and/or improve departmental operationsAdhere to all infection control protocols to ensure facility and resident safetyParticipate in facility in-services and continuing education as it relates to facility policies and procedures and physical therapyQualifications:Associate's degree in Physical Therapy requiredPhysical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Virginia requiredExperience in a long-term care/rehabilitation facility preferredThis position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day.
