Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Type: PRN, Non exempt Job Schedule: Days, Acute & Inpatient Rehabilitation coverage as needed (Weekdays, Weekends, Holidays) Job Responsibilities The Speech/Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients in an acute hospital setting with swallowing, speech, language, and communication needs. This role conducts comprehensive assessments, develops and implements individualized treatment plans, and provides education to patients and families to support therapy goals and progress. The SLP collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care, participates in discharge planning, and may supervise clinical fellows, students, and support personnel. This position requires strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (Required) Licensed Speech Therapist; Current licensure with NC Board of Speech‑Language Pathology & Audiology (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS), American Health Association required within 60 days of hire (Required) Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision (Required) Maria Parham Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
