Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and configuration of engineered HVAC and thermal management equipment. This role is responsible for developing mechanical solutions that meet customer and project requirements while ensuring manufacturability, performance, quality, and cost objectives. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with engineering, product management, manufacturing, sourcing, and project teams to develop preliminary and detailed equipment designs, perform engineering calculations, and prepare technical documentation. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Mechanical Design & Engineering Develop mechanical designs and equipment layouts based on project requirements. Perform equipment sizing, airflow analysis, thermal calculations, and other engineering evaluations. Prepare mechanical drawings, technical documentation, and engineering calculations. Support the design of HVAC and thermal management equipment for commercial and industrial applications. Ensure designs meet applicable engineering standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements. Review project specifications and recommend technically appropriate equipment configurations. Provide engineering support throughout project development and execution. Assist with technical documentation, engineering submittals, and product configuration. Resolve engineering issues related to design, manufacturability, and product performance. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and operations to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective. Support design reviews and incorporate feedback from cross-functional teams. Work with product development teams on design improvements and new product initiatives. Provide technical clarification and documentation during project execution. Contribute to standardization of engineering processes and design templates. Identify opportunities to improve product performance, quality, and manufacturing efficiency. Maintain awareness of industry standards, emerging technologies, and engineering best practices. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance engineering productivity. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. 3–7 years of experience in mechanical design, HVAC systems, thermal management, or engineered equipment. Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and HVAC fundamentals. Experience with mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit. Familiarity with configurable or engineered-to-order products is preferred. Knowledge of applicable engineering codes and industry standards is an asset. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills Experience with HVAC equipment or thermal management systems. Understanding of airflow management and cooling principles. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability. Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
