Regional Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Gary, IN by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description

Drive regional dry‑van lanes throughout the Midwest, including schedules running out of Chicago and surrounding hubs. HMD delivers consistent home‑weekly work and clear mileage pay.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate company dry‑van tractors safely on assigned regional routes, performing timely pickups and deliveries.
• Coordinate with dispatch, maintain detailed trip logs, and conduct required vehicle inspections.
• Represent HMD professionally during customer interactions and secure cargo properly.

Pay & perks:

• $0.70 cents per mile for all miles driven and a $2,500 sign‑on bonus.
