Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in an Immediate Care Unit with a capacity of 16-10 beds and a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care for patients experiencing a variety of complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administer care to patients with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes mellitus, substance abuse issues, and encephalopathy.
• Manage heparin drips and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Document patient conditions, interventions, and progress in compliance with organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Contract Details

This is a 48-hour contract position with an ASAP start date. The role is structured within a day shift pattern of 12 hours over 4 days.
