Application Engineer

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Application Engineer for a contract opportunity in King of Prussia, PA. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE) Strong foundation in one or two of the following areas: containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), programming languages (Python, Go, Rust), or CI/CD and automation (GitLab CI/CD, Software Factory pipelines). Willingness to learn and grow with the team. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for security, scalability, and performance. Experience with managing Helm charts and data application building (Streamlit). POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn contractor to join our ADDER (All Domain Data EnableR) Core Architecture team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building and deploying cloud-native applications, implementing containerization and orchestration tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate applications with various systems and services. Key Responsibilities Build and deploy cloud-native applications using containerization tools. Implement Kubernetes configurations and assist in CI/CD pipeline development. Write code in programming languages such as Python, Go, and Rust. Collaborate with teams to integrate applications with various systems and services. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application deployment, scaling, and performance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE) Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, k9s, Helm). Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Go, Rust). Knowledge of CI/CD and automation tools (GitLab CI/CD, Software Factory pipelines). Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), service mesh technologies (Istio), and monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
