Title: Production Support Lead


Location: Stamford, CT


Duration: Full Time

Job Description:
• Lead of a production support (7x24) team for a small number of applications.
• The team provides top tier second line support to production systems.
• Calls for support are required for batch failures and online failures. Problems are investigated, analyzed and solutions provided.
• Solutions could include file or database patches, changes to JCL, emergency fixes to code.
• Participate in project implementation and monitor application health; provide support for user demos as part of implementation.
• Support project development teams during requirements and development, providing necessary understanding of data and existing processes.
• Support numerous external teams including data interfaces and user front ends.
• Applies deep knowledge of applications, data structures and code to provide high level of support.
• Utilize available tools, ensure standards are adhered to.
• Translates user needs into technical specifications by understanding, conceptualizing, and facilitating technical requirements from user.
• Analyzes, develops, tests, and implements new software programs, and documentation of entire software development life cycle execution.
• Performs preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and fault rectification of system and core software components.
• Ensures that code/configurations adhere to the security, logging, error handling, and performance standards and non-functional requirements.
• Evaluates new technologies for fit with the program/system/eco-system and the associated upstream and downstream impacts on process, data, and risk.
• Follows release management processes and standards and applies version controls.
• Assists in interpreting and documentation of client requirements.
• Focus is primarily on business/group within client organization; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
• Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
