Data Engineer

Vertedge Health Analytics is looking for a Data Engineer to accelerate the growth of our healthcare data platform. The ideal candidate has strong software engineering fundamentals, experience building reliable user-facing products and robust ETL infrastructure, and familiarity with healthcare data and data privacy compliance. Responsibilities Take ownership of Vertedge’s end-user analytics tool and guide it from MVP to a mature, maintainable application. Assist in expanding Vertedge's data infrastructure by developing new healthcare data integrations and ingestion systems. Implement administration and monitoring tools to help manage growth. Qualifications 3-6+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering or related field. Strong software development fundamentals such as version control, unit testing, and CI/CD. Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code. Proficiency with AWS, especially CloudFormation/CDK, ECS, and Redshift. Experience with SQL, Python, and DBT for data transformation and analysis. Familiarity with business intelligence platforms such as Quicksight. Recommended Skills & Experiences Experience with healthcare claims data and data privacy regulations such as HIPAA. Comfortable working on a small, distributed team. Experience with full-stack application development and SaaS infrastructure.
