2027 Intern - Production Planner (Crewed Land) - Slidell, LA

As an intern with Textron, you'll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. A Day in the Life of a Production Planner Intern:

• Reviews Engineering and Manufacturing information such as new and revised designs, specifications, and bills of materials; production, tool, and test equipment drawings; manufacturing plans; operation and routing sheets
• Conducts reviews, incorporate Quality planning, and provide approval for purchase requisitions, purchase orders, design drawings, parts, process plans, and discrete jobs (shop orders)
• Monitors, reviews, analyzes, and interprets data/metrics to identify trends, failure modes, chronic/systemic failures, and process variation to improve Quality
• Performs Quality engineering work requiring a high degree of technical competence
• Engages in daily communication and collaboration with Production to ensure Production leaders are aware of and taking appropriate measures to mitigate the future recurrence of their defects. Interfaces with all other engineering/integrated supply chain functions within the organization and on quality-related issues
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications What You'll Need:

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Ability to interact effectively with management, peers, and other employees relative to quality and technical issues
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast pace, deadline driven environment
• Effective verbal and written communications skills
• Basic Microsoft Office application skills with emphasis in MS Excel (Power BI is a plus)
• This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
