Founded on the principle that patients and referring physicians deserve a better alternative to crowded, bureaucratic hospital systems and rigid corporate imaging chains, we prioritize clinical excellence, absolute safety, and unmatched hospitality. Operating with a patient-first philosophy, our facility is designed to eliminate long wait times, offer seamless scheduling, and provide a warm, stress-free environment. Utilizing a wide-bore Siemens 1.5T MRI, we focus on delivering high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining an intimate, high-touch patient environment. Position Summary Are you an elite MRI professional who is tired of the relentless hospital grind, corporate double-booking, and endless bureaucratic red tape? Aggieland Imaging is seeking a dynamic, highly skilled Lead MRI Technologist / MRI Safety Officer (MRSO) to serve as our primary MRI operations leader. This is not just a scanning job; this is a foundational leadership role. Working directly with the ownership group at TruView Health Holdings, Inc. and our reading radiologists, you will have a seat at the table and significant influence over facility workflows, patient experience protocols, safety cultures, and quality assurance programs. Key Responsibilities Clinical Operations Exemplary Patient Care: Perform high-quality MRI examinations utilizing our Siemens 1.5T MRI system in strict accordance with established physician and radiologist protocols. Workflow Optimization: Manage the daily scheduling workflow and patient throughput to guarantee short wait times and an unhurried, premium patient experience. Comprehensive Screening: Conduct meticulous pre-scan screening of patients, visitors, and staff for MRI contraindications, foreign bodies, and implant compatibility. Technical Resource: Serve as the internal subject matter expert on scan parameters, artifact reduction, and advanced imaging techniques. MRI Safety (MRSO) Designated MRSO: Assume the formal, designated role of MRI Safety Officer for the facility, executing safety oversight with absolute authority over the magnet room. Policy Development: Create, implement, and maintain comprehensive MRI safety policies and procedures aligned with ACR, FDA, and Joint Commission guidelines. Safety Training: Conduct mandatory annual MRI safety training for all clinical and non-clinical staff. Zone Compliance: Actively oversee and enforce strict ACR Zone I through Zone IV access controls, signage, and security measures. Incident Management: Investigate, document, and report any MRI safety events, near-misses, or equipment variances, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Quality, Compliance & Accreditation ACR Accreditation Leadership: Serve as the operational champion driving the facility’s initial and ongoing ACR MRI Accreditation process. QA/QC Documentation: Establish and meticulously maintain all daily, weekly, and monthly Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) logs. Physicist Liaison: Coordinate regular testing with the medical physicist, ensuring swift resolution of any hardware or software calibration issues. Regulatory Support: Assist executive leadership with payer credentialing, state licensing, and Medicare/Medicaid compliance documentation. Leadership & Strategic Growth Team Building: Help recruit, onboard, and train future MRI technologists and clinical support staff as patient volumes expand. Vendor Relations: Oversee relationships with equipment service engineers, linen providers, contrast vendors, and IT/PACS support. Strategic Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with ownership and radiologists to add new clinical protocols, evaluate facility metrics, and improve operational efficiency. Qualifications Required Certification: Active registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (MR) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). Licensure: Valid, unrestricted Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) License issued by the Texas Medical Board. Life Support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of dedicated, hands‑on MRI scanning experience. Safety Credentials: Certified MRI Safety Officer (MRSO) through the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS), or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of hire. Preferred Senior Experience: 7+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist, with at least 2 years in a Lead or Supervisory capacity. Outpatient Savvy: Prior experience working in a freestanding, independent outpatient imaging environment. Siemens Expertise: Deep operational familiarity with Siemens MRI systems, specifically syngo software architecture and open‑bore configurations. De Novo Operations: Prior experience opening a brand-new imaging facility, including acceptance testing and workflow design. Accreditation Success: Direct experience successfully guiding a facility through the ACR MRI Accreditation process.
