Position Overview: As a Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) supporting the F-16 program, you will provide technical expertise in Model Based Systems Engineering across F-16 subsystems, avionics, and system architectures. You will apply Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Systems of Systems (SoS) principles throughout the systems engineering process to support the development, integration, modernization, and life cycle management of F-16 capabilities. You will develop, update, and maintain system models, modeling practices, methodologies, and technical standards while supporting the development and implementation of an overarching MBSE strategy. You will work with engineering teams and program stakeholders to ensure system models accurately represent requirements, architectures, interfaces, dependencies, and future capabilities. You will validate modeling and analysis, communicate technical findings, and develop actionable solutions to support program decisions. You will also evaluate risks, dependencies, and technical needs affecting future Modeling & Simulation development and integration efforts while incorporating applicable industry standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and execute MBSE development plans Develop and maintain system architecture diagrams using SysML tools Develop system-level interface standards and specifications using SysML Develop and maintain system models supporting F-16 subsystems, avionics, software, and architectures Apply Systems of Systems (SoS) principles throughout the systems engineering process Develop and maintain modeling practices, methodologies, processes, and technical standards Support development and implementation of the F-16 MBSE strategy Perform modeling, analysis, verification, and validation of system architectures and interfaces Develop Master Resource Loading and trend analysis of hardware metrics, including CPU, interfaces, and memory Develop Systems, Avionics, and Software Roadmaps identifying avionics designs, prerequisite capabilities, pilot vehicle interfaces, and interconnect standards Support development of executable paths from current aircraft configurations to projected program requirements Perform Group A installation sequencing and analyze potential conflicts, dependencies, and impacts Evaluate technical risks and requirements affecting future Modeling & Simulation development and integration Communicate modeling results, technical findings, risks, and recommended solutions to program stakeholders Develop and maintain F-16 SPO internal process documentation Stay current with MBSE technologies, SysML practices, industry trends, and applicable engineering standards Incorporate industry best practices into modeling methodologies and processes as appropriate Support additional systems engineering and MBSE activities as assigned Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent relevant experience) Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts, processes, and methodologies Experience developing or working with system models using Systems Modeling Language (SysML) Understanding of systems engineering principles, system architectures, requirements, interfaces, and system life cycle management Ability to analyze complex technical systems and communicate findings to engineering and program stakeholders Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the assigned program Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline Experience supporting F-16 or other military aircraft programs Experience with avionics, aircraft subsystems, software architectures, or Systems of Systems engineering Experience developing system architecture and interface models using SysML-based modeling tools Experience with Modeling & Simulation development and integration Familiarity with DoD systems engineering processes and acquisition environments Experience supporting aircraft modernization, integration, or modification programs Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance or higher. Assigned programs may require Secret, Secret SAP, Top Secret, Top Secret SAP, or Top Secret/SCI access Why This Role?
