Why This Director of Rehabilitation Role Stands Out Grow as a leader with ongoing mentorship, training, and support from experienced therapy and operational leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a collaborative team of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, PTAs, and COTAs Make a direct impact on patient outcomes, employee engagement, and the overall success of your team and rehab department Maintain your connection to patient care while developing valuable clinical leadership and management experience Enjoy the support and resources of an established therapy organization while leading your rehab team at the local level Build meaningful relationships with patients, families, nursing staff, facility leadership, and interdisciplinary care teams Join a therapist-driven organization that values clinical excellence, professional development, work-life balance, and internal career growth Responsibilities What You’ll Do Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight of the facility’s rehabilitation therapy program Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary therapy team while creating a positive and collaborative work environment Help clinicians deliver personalized, patient-centered rehabilitation focused on independence, mobility, safety, and quality of life Partner with facility leadership, nursing, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to drive quality outcomes and continuity of care Support therapist development through coaching, mentorship, communication, and ongoing clinical guidance Oversee therapy operations, including staffing, scheduling, productivity, clinical documentation, regulatory compliance, and program performance Identify opportunities to strengthen and grow rehabilitation services while maintaining a strong focus on quality patient care Monitor patient and program outcomes and collaborate with your team to continuously improve the rehabilitation experience Foster a culture where therapists feel supported, valued, accountable, and empowered to succeed Serve as a trusted partner to facility leadership while advocating for both patients and the therapy team Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation Low-cost health insurance Flexible scheduling Generous PTO and paid holidays (including one personal holiday) Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Continuing education (CEU) and state licensure reimbursement Mental wellness support program New graduate tuition reimbursement opportunities Career advancement and leadership development Qualifications Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of practice Graduate of an accredited PT, OT, SLP, PTA, or COTA program 2+ years of experience in healthcare, long-term care setting preferred Interest or experience in geriatric rehabilitation or senior living therapy Passion for patient-centered care and improving quality of life for older adults About Therapy Management Corporation Therapy Management Corporation (TMC) partners with skilled nursing facilities and senior living communities across the country to provide Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services that enhance mobility, independence, and overall wellbeing for residents.
