Sela V Hotel is opening a new restaurant in Brooklyn, led by a top chef bringing together the flavors of the Middle East, the Balkans, and North Africa. We're keeping the concept under wraps for now, but we're building the front-of-house team today.

We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented Busser / Barback to join our front-of-house team. This position plays an essential role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by supporting our servers, bartenders, and management team while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and hospitality.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, anticipates the needs of others, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented fine dining environment.

Responsibilities

Dining Room Support Busser

• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and presentation throughout the dining room.
• Clear, reset, and maintain tables according to fine dining service standards.
• Assist servers with food running, water service, bread service, and other guest needs as directed.
• Polish silverware, glassware, and other service items to restaurant standards.
• Keep service stations stocked, organized, and ready for service.
• Anticipate the needs of guests and service staff while maintaining a discreet, professional presence.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties.

Bar Support Barback

• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.
• Replenish liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and other bar essentials.
• Assist bartenders with service preparation and restocking throughout the shift.
• Wash, polish, and organize glassware and bar tools.
• Maintain cleanliness behind and around the bar, including proper handling of waste and recycling.
• Assist with inventory, deliveries, and storage organization as needed.
• Follow all applicable sanitation, safety, and alcohol-handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fine dining restaurant, upscale restaurant, or high-volume hospitality environment is preferred.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
• Excellent attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain composed during busy service periods.
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mentality.
• Professional appearance and a genuine commitment to hospitality.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods and lift or carry restaurant supplies as required.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
