Custodian PositionThis position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. The role performs a variety of custodial and facility support duties, including cleaning, maintaining supplies, monitoring building systems, and assisting with room setups for meetings and events. This position also helps support building safety by conducting facility checks, monitoring fire protection systems, and identifying maintenance needs. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping facilities running smoothly and creating a positive environment for everyone who uses the space. Our total compensation package includes:Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurancePaid vacation, sick leave, FMLA, and holidaysRetirement - Pension and 457B plans that help you build a secure futureFlexible schedules and work-life balance optionsMeaningful work that makes a difference for Wyoming communities and MUCH MORE!Essential functions of this position include:Responsible for general cleaning, vacuuming floors and furniture, emptying trash and recycling containers, dusting, mopping, sanitizing, washing windows and mirrors, and cleaning/stocking restrooms, bathrooms, and offices.Learn where custodial supplies are kept and replenish supplies when needed.Observe and identify areas that need repair and submit information to the supervisor.Complies with state and federal policies such as OSHA and EPA.Operates and maintains equipment, including hand and shop tools.Moves furniture and sets up conference rooms for meetings and events.Performs designated watchman rounds to ensure security and safety, checks building systems for proper function, and updates security logs.Performs chemical renovations.Monitors fire protection systems.Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience working with cleaning materials and chemicals. Knowledge of materials, supplies, equipment, and methods of more technical cleaning and maintenance is required.Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 0-6 months of progressive work experience in building and grounds or 1-2 years of progressive work experience in building and grounds.Physical working conditions include exposure to hazardous materials, chemicals, bio-hazards, and elements. Must be able to drive vehicles and operate large, complex cleaning and grounds maintenance equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
