Accounting Manager — Entertainment Business Management FirmLocation: Nashville, TNAbout the RoleWe provide comprehensive financial management services to high-net-worth clients in the entertainment industry, including musicians, actors, athletes, and other public figures. We're seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, bill pay, and financial reporting for a portfolio of individual and loan-out entity clients, while managing and mentoring a team of staff accountants. This role requires discretion, accuracy, and comfort working with complex, high-volume personal and business finances.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, including personal households, loan-out corporations, and touring/production entitiesSupervise, train, and review the work of staff accountants and bookkeepersReview and approve accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, payment scheduling, and high-volume bill pay for personal and business expensesOversee monthly reconciliation of bank, credit card, and investment accountsReview and finalize general ledgers, chart of accounts, and financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for accuracy prior to client/management deliveryOversee tracking and categorization of royalty income, touring revenue, endorsement deals, and other entertainment-specific income streamsLead budget preparation and cash flow forecasting for clients (tour budgets, production budgets, personal spending plans)Serve as primary point of coordination with tax preparers, attorneys, and outside CPAs during tax season and auditsOversee 1099 preparation, W-9 tracking, and vendor documentation complianceOversee payroll processing for personal staff (assistants, household staff, tour personnel) where applicableEnsure meticulous, audit-ready records given the sensitivity and visibility of client financesServe as a key point of contact for client and management team inquiries regarding account status, spending, and reportingIdentify process improvements and help standardize procedures across the accounting teamUphold strict confidentiality regarding client financial and personal informationQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5–8+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, including prior supervisory or team-lead experience (public accounting, business management, or family office experience strongly preferred)Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Datafaction/AXIS, or similar business management platforms)Strong Excel skillsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailProven ability to manage multiple client accounts, staff, and shifting priorities under deadline pressurePreferred:Experience in entertainment business management, talent agencies, or high-net-worth individual accountingCPAFamiliarity with royalty statements, touring finances, or loan-out corporation structuresExperience with trust accounting or fiduciary responsibilitiesPersonal AttributesAbsolute discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive client and celebrity informationStrong leadership and mentoring skillsStrong communication skills for interfacing with clients, management teams, agents, and outside advisorsComfortable in a fast-paced, high-touch service environmentTrustworthy, ethical, and unflappable under pressure
