Mixed Acuity Critical Care Registered Nurse Full Time Days

Summary Full Time 36 weekly hours, day shift – three 12‑hour shifts per week (7am to 7pm) and every third weekend. Support shifts required. Sign on Bonus eligible for experienced candidates. Critical Care Mixed Acuity Unit Mixed Acuity Unit is both a critical care and telemetry unit specializing in medical critical care. Staff in this department receive both critical‑care and telemetry training and will see the whole realm of nursing. Care ranges from young adult through geriatric patient population. Job Summary Registered Nurse implements the nursing process for each assigned patient regardless of age (infancy to geriatric) and is responsible for the patient's care consistent with the Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies and procedures. The registered nurse promotes positive patient outcomes and the delivery of quality patient care and initiates change through active involvement in unit‑based and hospital shared governance councils while contributing to a healthy professional practice environment. National Professional Nursing Standards serve as guidelines for nurses as they utilize critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills and exercise appropriate nursing judgment. The registered nurse collaborates with the inter‑professional team to enhance patient outcomes, serves as a role model through actively participating in continuous professional development and lifelong learning, and utilizes the Nursing Process as the framework for providing care.
