Daily activities include triaging and caring for acute and chronic student health issues, administering medication to students per standing orders, charting of students' health records, maintaining and filing nursing records, creating and submitting mandated reports, maintaining orderly health suite, and other duties as assigned. Successful candidate must possess a strong sense of empathy, excellent clinical skills and bedside manner, flexibility, positivity, and effective communication skills. Successful candidate will have the ability to work with students of various age levels and needs and be able to manage multiple tasks. Candidate must comply with all laws and regulations governing school nursing and confidentiality. Qualifications: LPN, RN, or Certified School Nurse Certificate required. External Candidates Clearances will be required for applicants selected to move on to 2nd round interviews. This includes: Act 34 (State Criminal Clearance), Act 151 (Child Abuse Clearance) and Act 114 (FBI Clearance). All clearances must be within 1 year of application date.
