CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER (PART TIME)

Position: Part‑time Cashier / Food Service Worker Location: Centreville Public Schools – 190 Hogan Street, Centreville, MI 49032. Applications accepted only online. Schedule: Part‑time; days may vary, 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM. Details to be discussed in interview. Pay: $14.25 – $15.00 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available. Job Summary Operates the point‑of‑sale system, assists the chef, prepares coffee, and maintains the cleanliness of coffee and cashier stations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts; also assist with catering orders. Perform cashier duties using the POS system. Perform general cleaning, remove trash, and manage designated areas. Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving. Cash out according to established procedures, maintain cash accuracy with receipts, and make deposits at the end of each shift. Inventory and restock supplies and food products. Set up serving lines, ensuring temperatures are taken, recorded, and within acceptable ranges; notify cooks if temperatures are outside limits. Serve hot and cold items to customers. Set up items for purchase on a daily basis. Keep refrigerator stocked and rotate product using the first‑in, first‑out rule. Stock pantries with correct par levels on a daily basis; record replenished amounts and refrigerator temperatures on the floor stock form. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior food‑service experience preferred. Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
