Cardiovascular Technologist | Full Time MON-FRI 6:30AM-5PM | Cardiac Cath Lab|Gainesville

UF Health is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team in Gainesville as a full-time, day-shift professional working Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. As part of a leading academic health center focused on high-quality care, innovative research, and education, you will support invasive cardiac procedures in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. The Cardiovascular Technologist will work closely with interventional cardiologists, nurses, and anesthesia providers to assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions, and related invasive studies. Responsibilities include preparing procedure rooms and equipment, setting up and maintaining a sterile field, operating imaging and hemodynamic monitoring systems, collecting and recording accurate hemodynamic and imaging data, and assisting with vascular access and device preparation. The technologist will continuously monitor patient status, cardiac rhythms, and vital signs throughout procedures, promptly communicating changes to the care team and helping respond to emergent situations in accordance with ACLS-level protocols. The role involves providing pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care and education, ensuring comfort, safety, and adherence to UF Health’s standards for compassionate, high-quality service. The Cardiovascular Technologist will follow strict infection control and radiation safety practices, maintain and troubleshoot cath lab imaging and monitoring equipment, and support inventory and supply management to ensure readiness for routine and complex cases.
