Electrician

The Justice Buildings Services is responsible for performing functions with respect to the operations, maintenance, repair, preservation, alteration, furnishing, equipment and custody of the Robert F. Kennedy, Main Justice Building (RFK). Responsibilities Work independently from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and electrical maintenance/repair manuals to install, modify, repair, and maintain routine electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures. Qualifications Demonstrated experience performing common electrician tasks, including installing wires, relays, circuit breakers, and other electrical devices. Use electrical testing equipment to determine corrective action to repair electric power controlling equipment. Calculate common electrical properties such as voltage, resistance, or the ability of a system to store a charge. Read building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings to install, modify, repair, and maintain routine electrical lines, circuits, and systems. Meet both the scree-out element for the grade level and the physical requirement. Must meet all qualification requirements by 07/29/2026 of this announcement. Physical Requirements Work may be performed in cramped or awkward positions; must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and/or crawl to access the work area and complete tasks.
