Welder

Overview

Location: Albuquerque, NM
Pay: $20-23/hr
Schedule: 2nd shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following: other duties may be assigned.

• Able to accomplish flat and horizontal welding tasks related to production requirements.
• Ability to use a handheld plasma cutter and handheld grinder, manual flame cutting torch, and cranes.
• Utilizes bridge cranes to position parts and assemblies during production.
• Fit up and assemble products.
• Exchanges empty cylinders of oxygen, shielding gas, and fuel gas for full cylinders using a hand truck/dolly.
• Utilize the following welding processes Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW).
• Assist Machine Operators or Laborers, as deemed necessary by management.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual. Basic knowledge of learning ability and numeral ability.
• Basic ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Must be able to perform work to required tolerances.
• Must have the skill required to pass welding test: AWS 1.1 position 3G with E71-T1 electrode GMAW Process
