Staff Accountant - Tenant Recoveries

Overview Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team. The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in managing the financial health of a diverse property portfolio, offering the chance to work on complex commercial lease agreements and collaborate across departments to drive operational success. Responsibilities Manage annual rent roll impounds and make adjustments throughout the year. Calculate and oversee tenant billings for recoverable expenses in line with lease agreements. Prepare annual recovery budgets and quarterly projections. Ensure compliance with lease terms and resolve tenant inquiries or disputes. Support cross-functional teams with reporting, lease interpretation, and CAM-related guidance. Handle monthly recovery accruals and assist with complex billing issues. What You Bring / Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business (preferred). 2+ years of accounting experience; real estate background is a plus. Strong understanding of accounting principles and accrual accounting. Ability to interpret and apply complex financial lease provisions. Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive problem solver. Work Hours The position requires availability from Monday to Friday during standard business hours. Benefits The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $54,000 to $75,000 (DOE) annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
