Dietitian/Nutritionist Senior

Job Summary Responsible for advanced clinical and administrative duties within clinical nutrition, managing comprehensive medical nutritional care of patients. Includes nutrition assessment, development of nutrition care plans, diet modification, nutrition education, and all activities related to patient nutritional needs. Essential Functions Provide advanced clinical dietitian responsibilities, including specialty or advanced patient populations. Participate in clinical care forums as a resource on nutrition-related concerns. Mentor new staff and evaluate new products. Assist leadership in program planning and proposals to improve processes and efficiency. Plan, conduct, supervise, and evaluate the education experiences of dietetic interns and students. Develop and implement nutrition plans based on assessment, physician orders, clinical data, interdisciplinary health care plans, and quality standards. Document all nutrition-related information (assessment, therapy recommendations, care plan, follow-up data, diet consultation results, discharge planning, daily clinical activities). Counsel, educate, and develop resources for patients and families on therapeutic diets. Partner with food service staff to ensure meals, supplements, and nutrition support are provided. Review patients’ menu selections to monitor compliance with modified diets. Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree Clinical Dietitian required; Master’s Degree Dietitian preferred. Licenses and Credentials Dietitian and Nutritionist (State License) preferred. Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) preferred. Experience 3-5 years of clinical dietitian experience with multiple patient populations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Good communication skills. Ability to evaluate and problem solve effectively. Ability to work independently. Ability to guide, teach, and motivate patients of all age populations. Additional Job Details The position is for the Klarman Eating Disorders Center (KEDC), focusing on the treatment of eating disorders in a multi-month residential and partial program. Training integrates an evidence-based approach.
