Job Description

The Sr. Director, Supply Chain Technology & Application Delivery is responsible for the strategy, delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of the technology platforms that support ODW’s warehouse, transportation, integration, and operational execution needs. This leader owns the application portfolio supporting the warehouse footprint, including WMS, TMS, integrations, software development lifecycle frameworks, and related operational technologies. The role partners closely with Operations, Transportation, Customer Solutions, Automation, Data, Infrastructure, Security, and external vendors to deliver scalable, reliable, cloud-first solutions that improve customer onboarding, warehouse productivity, transportation execution, integration stability, and operational visibility.

Own the application strategy and roadmap for ODW’s supply chain technology portfolio, including WMS, TMS, integrations, software development lifecycle frameworks, automation-enabling technologies, and other systems supporting warehouse and transportation operations.

1. Partner with business leaders to translate operational priorities, customer requirements, growth plans, and process improvement opportunities into clear technology roadmaps and delivery plans.
2. Lead delivery of application enhancements, new customer onboarding capabilities, facility launches, integrations, automation initiatives, and platform modernization efforts across ODW’s warehouse footprint.
3. Drive cloud-first solution design, prioritizing scalable, secure, maintainable platforms and services that support operational reliability, speed to value, and long-term flexibility.
4. Oversee integration strategy and execution across customer, carrier, warehouse, transportation, automation, ERP, data, and third-party platforms, including API, EDI, middleware, and event-driven integration patterns.

Establish and mature software development lifecycle frameworks, release management practices, testing discipline, regression planning, production validation, and delivery governance to improve delivery confidence and reduce operational disruption.

1. Ensure mission-critical application stability through strong support processes, incident management, root-cause analysis, performance monitoring, problem management, and continuous improvement.
2. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Automation, and external providers to enable warehouse automation investments, including system readiness, integration design, testing, and operational adoption.
3. Manage vendor relationships and delivery partnerships, including software providers, implementation partners, managed services, offshore teams, and contract resources, to ensure high-quality outcomes and effective cost management.
4. Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team with the technical, functional, leadership, and business partnership capabilities needed to support ODW’s growth and modernization agenda.
5. Lead budgeting, resource planning, prioritization, capacity planning, and delivery governance across internal teams, offshore partners, vendors, and project resources.
6. Maintain appropriate controls for security, compliance, disaster recovery, data integrity, change management, and technology risk within assigned application platforms.
7. Communicate effectively with executive leaders, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners regarding priorities, tradeoffs, delivery status, risks, and business impact.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including experience supporting warehouse, transportation, supply chain, logistics, or 3PL environments.
• 5+ years of experience leading application delivery teams, technology support teams, vendors, or blended onshore/offshore delivery models.

Skills and Background

Experience owning or supporting WMS, TMS, integrations, software development lifecycle frameworks, and related operational technologies in a multi-site warehouse, transportation, supply chain, logistics, or 3PL environment.

• Strong understanding of warehouse execution, transportation execution, customer onboarding, integration design, operational support, incident management, and production stability.

Working knowledge of cloud-first architectures, SaaS platforms, APIs, EDI, middleware/iPaaS, data flows, automation integrations, software development lifecycle frameworks, Agile delivery methods, release management, and testing practices.

• Proven ability to lead vendors, implementation partners, offshore resources, managed services, and cross-functional delivery teams to achieve measurable business outcomes.
• Strong business partnership skills with the ability to translate operational needs into technology priorities, delivery plans, support models, and executive-level communication.
• Demonstrated strength in strategic planning, people leadership, budgeting, vendor management, process improvement, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Salary Pay Grade Level 22 

Salary Range $165,750 to $221,000
