Experience with steam and plumbing systems.Must be able to clean and maintain boilers.Must have ability to troubleshoot steam, air and water systems.Must be able to read and interpret drawings and schematics to install and troubleshoot piping systems.Knowledge of sprinkler and deluge systems desirable.Duties and Responsibilities:Candidate must be flexible in accepting additional duties as assigned by supervision.Candidate must be able to organize work area and maintain neat and proper records.Candidate must be able to analyze data and make appropriate judgments and must be able to work effectively with Plant Management.Reference, support, and utilize appropriate GOPs and UOPs.Provide improvement suggestions where needed.Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business processes in scope of responsibility.Improve quality by continuously improving products and services for our customers.Our customers are not only those to whom we sell products but also the end user of any product or service we provide within the company.Basic Qualifications:High school diploma required.Must be able to work all three shift schedules, seniority will dictate which shift.Must have completed an approved 4 year piping/plumbing apprenticeship and a minimum of four years experience as a journeyman pipefitter/plumber or ten years pipefitting experience in an approved industrial environment.Essential reading skills are required.High degree of mechanical aptitude and the ability to respond appropriately in high stress situations.Preferred Qualifications:Some post high school education is preferred.It is preferred the Candidates have pipe and welding certification and must provide documentation showing all applicable experience and training with appropriate references.Pay:The current pay rate for this position is $34.39, since this is a union position, this rate is non-negotiable.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
