Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Sheet Metal Foreman in Knoxville, TN to lead field crews in the installation and fabrication of commercial HVAC duct systems.
- Drives project profitability by ensuring ductwork is installed correctly the first time.
- Maintains a safe job site by enforcing strict compliance with OSHA standards.
- Improves team productivity through clear communication and layout accuracy.
- Ensures high-quality system performance by following SMACNA standards. Responsibilities
- Lead field crews in the assembly and hanging of commercial sheet metal ductwork.
- Interpret architectural blueprints and HVAC layouts to plan daily installation tasks.
- Lay out locations for equipment, duct runs, and structural hangers.
- Fabricate or repair sheet metal products and HVAC components as needed.
- Troubleshoot mechanical or spatial conflicts between trades on the job site.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks with the installation crew.
- Inspect rigging, machinery, and safety gear to ensure all equipment is in good condition.
- Coordinate material deliveries and manage inventory levels for the project. Compensation and Logistics
Competitive salary depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays. This position requires travel across TN, KY, NC, SC, AL, and GA. Schedule is generally first shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Call to Action
