Controls Engineer

Must be onsite at Springfield, OH

Controls Engineer with STRONG AutoCad

BSEE or EET Electrical Engineering Technology (Associates Degree.)
Willing to learn electrical
Understanding common voltages
Willing to learn 3 phase and from the bus duct down.



Desired Skills:
• HIGHLY DESIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or at least 4 years electrical engineering experience

• Design and develop customized controls
• Experience with Medium or High voltage distribution gear
• Ability to work overtime
• Ability to work with a diverse unionized workforce
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, Auto-Cad, A/B AI software, ABB robots)
• HMW/Landis grinder experience
• Experience with servos, stepper motors, VFD's, safety relays, light curtains and guard locking devices

• Experience in working with equipment and electrical component suppliers
• High energy level and ability to energize and excite others
• Enthusiastic about getting a job done
• Ability to bring projects to a clean conclusion
• Update obsolete machine controls to work in an automated environment
• Troubleshoot electronics to component level
• Provide technical support for the onsite electricians
• Excellent troubleshooter 2-5 years of experience with PLC's

• 2 years experience with CAD Systems (AutoCAD preferred)
• At least 2 years experience in Project Management
• Develop wiring and interconnection diagrams for project installation
• Create, edit and install PLC ladder logic for Allen Bradley PLC, RSLogix 5000/500/5, Control logix, Flexlogix, compact logix, and/or Modicon platforms
• Experience with HMI's -RSview, FactoryTalkView, ME/SE, Panelbuilder 32 and Panelviews
• Install electrical systems in accordance with NEC & NFPA
