(18 yrs+ to apply) Center Store Clerk - Battle Crossing (Clark Lane in Columbia, MO)

Job Title

Consideration requires availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This role is offering 20-25 hours per week.

This is not an official job description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform: You could expect the position of center store clerk to include the following:

DUTIES:

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods., and Grocery Departments.
• Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Sort damaged product for credit
• Operate a hand jack, power lift and cardboard baler
• Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler
• Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
• Maintain company productivity standards
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management

TRAINING:

Training will be provided at store level.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Bending, stooping, able to stock 50 cases per hour, able to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees), able to push loaded two wheeler (average 100-120 pounds), able to pull a loaded pallet (up to 700 pounds), able to pull loaded stock truck, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, working on feet entire shift (4-8hours)

Additional Requirements Internal Candidates:

• Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
