Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/29/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Location: Mauston, Wisconsin Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Two‑year degree in nursing required; BSN preferred. Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license. BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire. ACLS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire. PALS encouraged. Responsibilities: Provide professional, high‑quality nursing care to patients in a general medical–surgical setting, including EICU patients. Use and perpetuate the nursing process throughout the patient's hospitalization. Perform and assist with procedures per approved departmental policy and procedure. Respond to life‑threatening situations following nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols. Ensure proper handling of specimens and maintain infection control procedures. Initiate patient and family education plans and discharge needs. Safely care for multiple patients, maintaining a safe environment and using safety precautions appropriately. Demonstrate understanding of universal precautions and asepsis.
