APRN/NP (Per Diem Cardiovascular) Opportunities

UConn Health/Waterbury Hospital is seeking an experienced Per Diem APRN/NP or Physician Assistant (PA) for day & nocturnist shifts in the Cardiovascular Unit. Provide independent, high-quality critical care for cardiac and cardiothoracic patients, assist with pre- and post-operative management, and support patient transitions across the care continuum. Key Responsibilities Manage inpatients on cardiac and cardiothoracic services under attending supervision Care for patients with myocardial infarction, acute coronary syndromes, post‑op open‑heart procedures, and mechanical support devices (IABP, Impella) Perform comprehensive assessments, order tests, interpret hemodynamics, and participate in advanced procedures Educate patients, families, and staff while collaborating with the interprofessional team Requirements Current Connecticut APRN/PA license with DEA and controlled substance registration Minimum 2 years’ APP experience preferred Experience with first‑assist capabilities preferred Strong cardiovascular clinical expertise and communication skills Benefits We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career advancement within a collaborative and supportive environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Crozer-Keystone
