About the Role The Mobility Specialists (MS) supports safe patient handling and mobility (SPHM) across healthcare facilities. Working with patients and clinical staff at the bedside, MS’ ensure safe, effective, and efficient mobility support throughout the patient journey. All team members begin at Level I , with opportunities to progress through four levels (I–IV), each building on the last with increased training, leadership, and operational responsibilities. Responsibilities Learn and perform Atlas core mobility duties. Focus on developing foundational skills and understanding unit workflows. Support team members and patient care with guidance from supervisors. Assist patients with safe mobility, transfers, and transportation in clinical environments. Educate and train staff on safe patient handling methodology. Operate, maintain, and utilize patient handling equipment safely and effectively. Document all patient interactions, care staff training, rounding and related activities in Atlas’ proprietary software accurately and on time. Communicate effectively and deliver excellent customer service. Report changes in patient condition or concerns to nursing staff immediately. Work independently while collaborating as part of a team. Follow hospital policies and patient handling protocols, using proper lifting techniques and body mechanics. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability in a fast‑paced environment. Meet physical requirements (lift 35 lbs, walk/stand for full shift). Maintain current CNA certification every 2 years. Maintain current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association). Maintain all required vaccinations per hospital(s) policies.
