Locum Psychiatrist — General & Child/Adolescent PsychiatryFour Corners Regional Health Center | Red Mesa, AZ (Navajo Nation)Position Overview:DT-Trak Consulting, Inc. is a federally contracted, Native American-owned healthcare staffing firm seeking a dually board-certified Psychiatrist to support behavioral health services for the Navajo Nation at Four Corners Regional Health Center (FCRHC), Red Mesa, Arizona. This is a part-time, 1099 independent contractor position with no weekend, holiday, or on-call obligations. Services may be delivered in person and/or via telepsychiatry (Webex).Job Type: 1099 Independent ContractorPay Rate: $240 – $265/hour (based on experience)Location: Four Corners Regional Health Center, Red Mesa, AZ 86514Schedule: ~4 days per month | Monday – Friday | No call, no weekendsContract Period: July 15, 2026 – July 14, 2027Total Hours: 480 hours (base year)Duties & Responsibilities:Provide outpatient general and child & adolescent psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individualized treatment planningPrescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in accordance with established IHS clinical standardsConsult with medical and mental health staff regarding the assessment and treatment of individual patients and broader behavioral health concernsDocument all patient encounters in the FCRHC Electronic Health Record (EHR) using IHS Mental Health templates; all documentation must be completed prior to the end of each shiftProvide telepsychiatry services via Webex as needed between scheduled in-person daysMaintain availability by phone on weekdays to address urgent patient matters with existing patientsParticipate in quality assurance review through the FCRHC quality assurance committeeAdhere to HIPAA, Privacy Act, IHS Code of Conduct, and all Shiprock Service Unit policies and proceduresDemonstrate cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with interpreters for non-English-speaking patientsWork Schedule:Minimum 4 days per month at FCRHC Mental Health Services DepartmentClinic hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday — 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMClinic hours: Wednesday — 12:30 PM to 4:30 PMClinic is closed on federal holidaysNo weekend, holiday, or on-call responsibility30 days advance notice required for planned leaveRequired Qualifications:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)Board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) in General PsychiatryBoard certification by ABPN in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (both certifications required)Full, permanent, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, Washington D.C., or Commonwealth of Puerto RicoFederal DEA registration number (required)U.S. citizenship (required)Demonstrated experience providing telepsychiatry servicesFull and unrestricted license in all states in which licenses are heldNo history of adverse Medical Staff Action (censure or revocation of privileges)No criminal arrests or convictionsNo medical board censure related to opioid use, misuse, or sexual misconductNo early termination from a prior locums assignment due to behavioral or quality of care concernsMust successfully complete IHS Level I and Level II background investigationsFBI National Criminal History Check (fingerprint) required prior to startHSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card required for facility accessREAL ID-compliant identification required for facility entryIdenTrust authentication token required for narcotic prescribing in IHS EHR (obtained via hidglobal.com prior to onboarding)Completion of mandatory IHS orientation, IT systems training, and child protection training within 30 days of onboardingDocumented immunity to Rubella, Mumps, and Measles (MMR)Hepatitis B series or signed declinationHistory of varicella (chickenpox) or positive titerTetanus Diphtheria (Td) within the past 5 yearsTB Mantoux skin test (PPD) within the past 12 monthsCurrent influenza vaccinationWhat DT-Trak Provides:Competitive 1099 hourly compensation: $240 – $265/hourMalpractice insurance coverage: $1,000,000 per occurrence / $3,000,000 aggregate, including 3-year tail coverageFull credentialing coordination and support with SRSU Credentials CommitteeDedicated recruiter and contract compliance support throughout your assignmentGovernment-furnished clinic space, EHR access, PPE, and VPN connectivity for telepsychiatryAbout the Facility:Four Corners Regional Health Center (FCRHC) is located at the junction of US Highway 160 and Navajo Route 35 in Red Mesa, Arizona, and is part of the Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS), Shiprock Service Unit.
