A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working for a PRN (as needed) staffing agency typically performs the following tasks;

1. Assisting Patients: Provide direct patient care, including help with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.

2. Monitoring Vital Signs: Take and record vital signs like temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.

3. Mobility Support: Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety while walking or moving from one location to another.

4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient care activities, including changes in patient conditions and responses to treatments.

5. Communication: Communicate effectively with nursing and medical staff regarding patient needs and any changes in condition.

6. Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and safe environment.

7. Feeding and Hydration: Assist patients with meals and ensure they remain hydrated.

8. Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, helping them feel comfortable and cared for.

9. Adapting to Various Settings: Work in different healthcare environments, such as hospitals, nursing homes, or home healthcare, as per the agency's needs.

10. Flexibility: Be adaptable to changes in assignments and schedules as required by the staffing agency.
