Job Summary: The commercial vehicle technician performs maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various makes and models of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles. Principal Responsibilities: Perform maintenance activities including installation, repair, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. Conduct repairs efficiently, communicating with the Service Writer and Parts team. Provide data for work orders, invoices, and activity reports. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Demonstrate integrity and teamwork, sharing knowledge and cross-training. Knowledge & Skills: At least 1 year of automotive/truck maintenance and repair experience or vocational training. Proficiency in diagnosis and repair of vehicles and equipment. Knowledge of engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, and air systems. Experience with automotive transmissions is a plus. Understanding of safety procedures. Effective communication skills and ability to read technical information. Experience & Education: Minimum 1 year of vehicle maintenance experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred. ASE certification is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, sit, walk, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting with 100 pounds. Must pass pre-employment screening.
