Role Description The Mortgage Loan Officer is a full-time, onsite and/or remote role based in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. In this position, the individual will build and manage a pipeline of residential mortgage clients, guide borrowers through the loan application process, and assess financial information to recommend appropriate loan products. The role includes structuring and originating loans, collecting and reviewing documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company guidelines. The Mortgage Loan Officer will collaborate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to move loans efficiently from application to funding, while maintaining clear, professional communication with borrowers and business partners. The individual is also expected to develop referral relationships with real estate professionals, participate in local outreach, and contribute to business growth in the Asheville market. Qualifications Strong skills in customer relationship management, client communication, and service-oriented interaction with diverse borrowers. Proficiency in sales, prospecting, and pipeline management, with the ability to meet production goals and develop referral networks. Ability to analyze financial documents, evaluate creditworthiness, and match borrowers with suitable mortgage products. Familiarity with mortgage lending regulations, compliance standards, and loan origination procedures. Comfort with loan origination systems, document management tools, and general technology used in the mortgage industry. Effective organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple files simultaneously. Prior mortgage lending or financial services experience is strongly preferred; NMLS licensing or eligibility to obtain it is required. High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is beneficial. One year or more in the mortgage origination business with an annual production volume of $6MM dollars or more is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
