As a Commercial Sales Engineer, you will work closely with our sales team to understand our Commercial customers’ complex business needs and showcase how Fivetran’s data replication solutions can help them achieve their desired business outcomes. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise, identifying technical requirements, and ensuring a successful proof-of-value throughout the sales cycle.This is a full-time, hybrid role based out of our Denver, CO office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.Technologies You’ll UseAWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Kubernetes, Docker, Podman,Grafana, Linux, Windows, Python, JavaWhat You’ll DoWork with Commercial customers to understand their business, their use cases, and their data replication requirementsDevelop and deliver technical presentations to Commercial audiencesEnsure the technical win by running an organized proof-of-value processWork closely with multiple cross-functional organizations, driving change and improvements to Fivetran as a whole.Work closely with multiple Sales representatives, while maintaining a high level of customer focus and technical excellenceStay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in our industryAssist team members in advanced technical or business roadblocksSkills We’re Looking For4+ years in data replication, sales engineering, or related technical fieldStrong technical background covering database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data replication technologies with some form of hands on experienceExperience with modern data analytics technologies, including cloud data warehouses, transformation tooling, data catalogs, and BI toolsExcellent communication and presentation skills with a keen ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience with Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and NoSQL databasesHands on experience with other data replication or ETL toolsExperience with self-hosted software applications and supporting infrastructureHands on networking experience both in the cloud and on-premiseOptional Bonus SkillsExperience developing partner relationshipsSpecialized expertise in security posture Experience with self-hosted and SaaS software applicationsHands on experience with DBT#LI-HYBRID #LI-MP1The compensation range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire compensation for the target position and level, and may include sales incentives or target bonuses depending on the role.
