Job Duties

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients in respiratory care.
• Assumes unit, clinical, and administrative responsibilities in the absence of leadership.
• Assesses ventilator concerns and appropriately intervenes.
• Participates in coaching, counseling, and mentoring of unit personnel on issues related to respiratory care.
• Assists in monitoring vacancy and turnover rates and implements unit programs to achieve minimal vacancies and reduce turnover.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care, health sciences, health administration, business administration, or related field.
• 2 years Experience in a respiratory therapy leadership role.
• 5 years Experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 180 Days
• CRT - Certified Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care within 2 Years
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care, health sciences, health administration, business administration, or related field.
• 2 years Respiratory therapy leadership role in an acute care setting.
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care within 1 Year
