Hybrid Senior Electrical Engineer IV – Charlotte, NC We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (IV or III) with a Professional Engineering (PE) license to design and conduct quality control of electrical and communications projects for military, commercial, and industrial construction. The role focuses on building and infrastructure projects, with opportunities for hybrid work (3 days in-office, 2 days remote). Key Details Experience: Senior Level Salary: $120,000 – $200,000 per year Job Responsibilities Prepare designs for electrical and communications projects. Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, making substantial engineering adaptations and modifications to assigned projects. Plan, design, and oversee projects for new construction, renovation, and improvement of real‑property facilities, including specialized or unique requirements. Conduct site visits to document conditions. Lead the preparation of written reports. Perform quality control of designs for electrical and communications projects. Serve as a technical consultant on facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance; determine resources and perform long‑range planning. Delegate tasks, execute plans, and manage scopes, schedules, and budgets. Act as responsible charge of projects (DOR). Review consultant‑prepared design drawings, indicate design corrections, prepare technical specifications, and review engineering plans for regulatory compliance. Prepare specifications for construction cost estimates. Evaluate contract bids, recommend feasibility studies, and assist in managing large‑scale construction projects. Prepare project budgets and schedules for proposal efforts. Use construction inspection report data to prepare payment estimates for contractor payment recommendations. Mentor junior‑level staff. Qualifications BS in Electrical Engineering. Current Professional Engineering license in North Carolina or Georgia (permission to license by comity in other states). Minimum 20 years of electrical and communication design experience. Extensive working knowledge of applicable design and building codes. Experience administering and managing construction contracts. RCDD preferred (not required). LEED AP certification preferred (not required). Computer proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and discipline‑specific software.
