Warehouse Operator
Our client, a packaging and warehouse operations team, is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join their team. As a Warehouse Operator, you will be part of the Packaging Warehouse supporting day-to-day inbound, staging, and housekeeping activities. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-minded, and able to manage changing priorities while keeping accurate records and labels.
Warehouse Operator
Location: ANACORTES, WA
Shift: Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm
What's the Job?
- Packaging counts: obtain packaging counts from the Ingredient Warehouse team member, perform packaging counts, and note any issues to turn over to the Lead or Supervisor when complete.
- Inbound receiving support: obtain the BOL from the forklift driver, confirm with the Lead or Supervisor for the receiver to match the BOL, create 4-part labels and license pallet labels using BOL/receiver information, and match labels with inbound product scanned to the tagged warehouse location as pallets are put away.
- Coordinate movement of packaging: communicate with team members unloading trucks and work together to shuttle packaging from the parking lot to the Lummi Building.
- Pulling and staging packaging: use the most updated pull sheets confirmed with the Lead or Supervisor, pull remaining packaging needed for the current day first, coordinate with the Production Support forklift driver on where current-day packaging should be placed, and stage next-day packaging in LUM0 first (using any open nearby location if LUM0 is full).
- Rendering and warehouse housekeeping: scan product to render when notified, place "render" labels on all 4 sides, take to wastewater, and complete LUMMI housekeeping by sweeping trash and broken wood, swapping broken pallets, wrapping and verifying food contact items, organizing and consolidating inventory, fixing license plate tag and 4-parts issues, and verifying inventory by location using "Location Inquiry" on the scanner.
What's Needed?
- Strong time management and prioritization skills to handle fluctuating task times and inbound truck volume.
- Comfort working with labels, BOL/receiver information, and scanner-based workflows to ensure accurate matching and placement.
- Ability to communicate clearly with Lead/Supervisor and team members during receiving, pulling, staging, and cleanup activities.
- Attention to detail when verifying packaging accuracy (no mixed items or incorrect items in opened boxes) and when counting physical pallets against system locations.
- Willingness to follow established procedures for staging (including LUM0 first), labeling, wrapping, and inventory organization.
What's in it for me?
- Monday through Friday schedule with a consistent daytime shift.
- Clear, process-driven work where your accuracy and organization directly support daily production.
- Opportunities to collaborate across teams (Ingredient Warehouse, Production Support, and receiving/pulling support).
- A role focused on hands-on warehouse operations, labeling, staging, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Structured responsibilities that help you build confidence in inventory verification and warehouse workflow.
