Senior Demand Planner

Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.Job Purpose and ImpactThe Sr Demand Planner will create all levels of demand plans for a group of products with high planning complexity, including data inputs, statistical forecasting, incorporation of commercial intelligence and new or discontinued products. In this role, you will handle large sets of data and collaborate with others to drive improvements in forecast accuracy, identify risks and opportunities, and enable decision-making within the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, including effective financial planning and execution throughout the supply chain.Key AccountabilitiesLead demand review processes, including preparation and facilitation of Demand ReviewPartner with commercial, marketing, and finance teams to challenge assumptions and align on consensus demand plansCreate and maintain all stages of the demand plan, and ensure alignment with the supply planning teamAnalyze and improve forecast accuracy (e.g., MAPE, Bias) and identify key drivers, risks, and opportunitiesAct as a key business partner in resolving trade-offs between demand, supply, and financial targetsMaintain data relative to demand forecasting including hierarchy, historical data cleansing, demand sensing data and forecast model parameters.Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.Other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of four years of related work experienceContinuous improvement mindsetAble to think critically and challenge the status quo when appropriateTranslate complex data into actionable insightsStrong interest in data, statistics, and new technologies including AIStrong Excel skillsOther minimum qualifications may applyPreferred QualificationsThree years of demand planning experience.Position Details • Location: MN.Wayzata;KS.Wichita. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
