Accounting Specialist - Ap, Contracts, & Vendor Support - Treasurer's Office

Contract: 260 days per year (Year-round)

Performance Responsibilities:

Duties to include tasks within the following areas:

1. Operation of the following routine tasks:

Posting of encumbrances/processing purchase orders, including entering, dating, numbering, vendor numbers, separating for distribution and mailing or fax. Prepare monthly utility, insurance and miscellaneous bills for payment Process annual beginning of fiscal year PO's. Add new/update current vendors in USAS Update cell phone reimbursement lists and prepare quarterly cell phone reimbursement invoices Complete credit applications and obtain signature of Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer to return to vendor

2. Assist with prep and related tasks for monthly Board of Education meetings:

Add contracts and financial reports to agenda for approval Prepare Independent Contractor contracts Coordinate signatures on contracts and file contracts where appropriate. Update athletic event workers list for approval Add donation amounts to agenda for approval Prepare and send donation letters to donors monthly/quarterly Prepare meeting minutes

3. Assist with the following accounting and business related tasks:

GAAP or CAFR annual Accrual report as directed by the Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer. Processing of excess cost reporting Student activity group accounting, including facilitating information and signatures for Enrichment Contracts Public records requests Fixed asset inventory Managing and tracking of district copiers, RFP's, etc. Ordering miscellaneous items for the Treasurer's Office as needed

4. Effective operation of technology

5. All other duties necessary for the efficient operation of the Accounting Department, including cooperation with others and a helping hand when needed

6. Other duties as directed by the Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

* Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures including but not limited to Google suite, MS Office, Etc. * Background in State Software, SCview, and/or Bonefish is a plus * Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload to meet strict deadlines * High level verbal and communication skills * Discretion and confidentiality * Proven ability to work as a member of a team * High School diploma or equivalent

Salary - Commensurate with experience FLSA Status - Classified
