- Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering essential diagnostic tests, and developing customized care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions collaboratively with physicians or independently, based on your credentialing
- Instructing patients and their families on prevention, wellness initiatives, and effective disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management to promote health stability
- Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, patient-centered care
- Accurately documenting all interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
