Certified Surgical Technician CVOR

Candidates applying to this order must have a minimum of 5 years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR technologist. Experience should include demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Candidates with less experience or requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered. The schedule will be 10-hour day shifts based on department needs at the time of the interview. The CVOR service line provides surgical interventions for routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Cardiac procedures include coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, and heart transplantation. The service line may also involve placement of ventricular assist devices and ECMO. Thoracic cases include both laparoscopic and open procedures. Vascular procedures range from placement/revision of grafts to endovascular procedures. The CVOR service line comprises multiple ORs and has the capacity to perform concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. During downtime, staff may be asked to assist in other specialty service lines in the OR. BLS certification is required.
