Exciting Leadership Role for a Psychiatrist in Phoenix!
Our organization is on the lookout for a psychiatrist to take on the role of Associate Chief of Staff for the Mental Health Service. This position will report directly to the Deputy Chief of Staff and will be instrumental in establishing the overarching objectives for the Mental Health Service. The Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) is dedicated to delivering exceptional health care, training the next generation of health care professionals, and engaging in vital medical research. Since its inception in 1951, PVAHCS has been committed to serving Veterans and currently provides top-tier health care to over 130,000 Veterans throughout the region. As a prominent health care provider within the VA Desert Pacific Network, PVAHCS boasts the highest number of enrolled Veterans in the area. Our facilities include the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center, along with 12 community-based outpatient clinics located in Gilbert, Globe, Payson, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Show Low, and Surprise, as well as a Community Resource Center in Phoenix that focuses on programs and services for homeless Veterans. Additionally, we operate a Mobile Medical Unit to reach Veterans who may have difficulty accessing our facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in VA or clinical supervisory roles is preferred. Candidates should be seasoned clinicians with extensive leadership experience in both clinical and administrative capacities. Strong interpersonal skills, along with operational, financial, and clinical expertise, are crucial. You should be capable of meeting established performance metrics set by the VA and possess a comprehensive understanding of the standards upheld by the Veterans Health Administration and other accrediting organizations.
