Dental AssistantPay rate: $1,500.00 - $1,800.00 gross per weekNumber of positions: 1Specialty: DentalStart date: 3-4 weeks after offer dateTravel: All inclusiveAssignment length: 3 months - 1 yearEMR: RPMSSchedule: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm shift4x10 schedule8:00 am - 5:00 pm may be offered depending on coverage needs.No overtimeAdditional details about the position:Provide chairside dental assisting services, including assisting during procedures, passing instruments, mixing materials, operating oral evacuation equipment, and retracting cheek/tongue as needed.Expose dental radiographs and assist with patient examinations and treatments according to IHS/Tribal standards.Prepare patients for treatment by verifying appointments, seating and draping patients, locating records, and preparing dental laboratory requisitions.Take dental impressions and perform dental laboratory procedures, including pouring impressions, constructing custom trays, and fabricating mouth guards or orthotic appliances.Clean, disinfect, sterilize, sharpen, and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, infection control standards, and IHS policies.Maintain operatories by cleaning and disinfecting treatment areas and ensuring readiness for patient care.Experience requirements:Minimum 1-2 years exp with chairside assistance, must be a recent experience.Certification requirements:BLSHigh School Diploma or GEDCertificate of completion of dental assisting program (Certificate or Associate's Degree) from an accredited institution covering anatomy, biology, chemistry, and supervised clinical practiceLicensure requirement:Any state licenseAbout the facility:Our hospital is improving the health care and well-being of the community and those in need by providing professional, compassionate, caring, and accessible health care through a continuous commitment to our patients and employees.DCBenefits: (NurseStar covers 50% of your monthly benefit cost)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid sick timePaid time offTravel reimbursementVision insurance
