About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Pediatric CVICU RN – Texas**Start Date:** September 15, 2026 **Location:** Dallas, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Rotating weekends (day shift Saturday and Sunday, night shift Friday and Saturday); 12-hour shifts; patient ratios 1:1, 1:2, at times 1:3; no call required**Highlights:**- 27-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU utilizing an acuity adaptive model with ICU and step-down level patients- Complex case mix including congenital heart disease, post-operative cardiac management, ECMO, CRRT, and manual PD- Advanced cardiac procedures including central/arterial line placement, sternal closures, conscious sedation, and post-op recovery- Meditech EMR; state-of-the-art equipment including Servo U ventilators, NIRS monitoring, and specialized cardiac technology- Collaborative team environment with 90 staff members and dedicated charge nurses for both ICU and step-down units- Tuesday start dates available**Requirements:**- Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility- Minimum 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as staff nurse- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience as staff nurse- Experience with congenital heart disease and post-operative CHD patient management- Proficiency in arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic line management- Current PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required- Willingness to float to PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, and pediatric oncology as needed**Preferred Qualifications:**- 2+ years of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience- At least 1 year experience with neonatal cardiac patients (pre-op and post-op)- Previous travel assignments in dedicated pediatric cardiac ICU settings**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This position offers the chance to work with a highly specialized pediatric cardiac population in a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to compassionate, family-centered care.
