Job Responsibilities
- Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and develop personalized therapy approaches that empower them to meet their functional objectives.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply proven methods to improve patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Partner closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, doctors, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Inform patients and their caregivers about therapy strategies to facilitate continued progress at home.
- Document and Evaluate Progress: Monitor treatment outcomes and adapt therapy plans as necessary to ensure patients reach their goals.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Encouragement and support for continuing education or advanced certifications.
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory.
- A genuine commitment to helping others achieve the highest level of independence.
- Strong and compassionate communication skills for engaging with patients and teammates.
- Ability to creatively adapt therapy plans to assorted patient needs.
- Confidence to work independently as well as collaboratively within a tight-knit, interdisciplinary team.
