Inventory Specialist

Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer within the dairy and food production industry, is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join their operations team. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, supporting warehouse and production operations, and ensuring inventory integrity across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with inventory management systems. This role requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory transactions are properly documented.

• Monitor inventory levels and update information within inventory management systems.

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against packing slips and purchase orders.

• Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and routine audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Investigate and report inventory shortages, damages, overages, and other inventory-related issues.

• Prepare inventory reports and communicate findings to operations and leadership teams.

• Partner with warehouse, production, procurement, and other departments to resolve inventory concerns.

• Support shipping, receiving, labeling, organizing, and inventory movement activities as needed.

• Ensure compliance with company inventory procedures, food safety standards, and workplace safety requirements.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient inventory storage environment.

Skills and Requirements

1. Must be Bilingual in Spanish

2. 1+ years of inventory control, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience.

3. Experience using inventory management systems, ERP software, or warehouse management systems (WMS).

4. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and reconcile inventory discrepancies.

5. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.

6. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operations, warehouse, and production teams. • Experience in a manufacturing, food production, dairy, beverage, or distribution environment.

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar platforms.

• Previous experience performing cycle counts and inventory audits.

• Knowledge of inventory best practices, FIFO processes, and inventory reconciliation procedures.
